Job summary

WM (Waste Management) is seeking a Lead Technician for IWP to rebuild and maintain centrifuges, pumps, augers, piping, mixers and related equipment, while guiding lower level Mechanics/Process Technicians in preventive and predictive maintenance tasks and rebuild procedures.

The role includes scheduling, training, field service, and ensuring safety compliance to support efficient operations across sites.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• TWIC Card.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• NFPA 70E Training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards and safety procedures.
• Directs work assignments to Mechanics/Process Techs and oversees PM scheduling and sign-offs.
• Performs complex repair and inspection of equipment and reviews work orders daily.
• Provides guidance and training to shop and field personnel; leads safety meetings when required.
• Prepares requisitions and inspects outside/supplier repairs; conducts field service calls for emergencies.
