Job summary

WM in Baytown, TX is seeking a Lead Technician – IWP to oversee rebuilds and preventive maintenance of centrifuges, pumps, and related equipment. You will guide lower level technicians, schedule tasks, and lead safety efforts on site.

The role includes operation of centrifuge technology, training operators, and coordinating maintenance in a fast-paced facility environment. Strong safety compliance and hands-on leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• TWIC Card and valid driver’s license required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; pre-employment drug/alcohol testing may be required.
• NFPA 70E Training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, safe work area in OSHA standards and reports discrepancies.
• Directs maintenance staff in PM tasks and rebuild procedures.
• Provides feedback to management on performance and progress of activities.
• Performs preventive maintenance scheduling and prioritizes repairs.
• Prepares requisitions for parts and supplies and orders as needed.
• Performs field service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Reviews and completes work orders daily.
• Lead safety meetings when required.
