Job summary

Equinix in Ashburn is seeking a Lead Sales Engineer to act as the primary technical advisor for hyperscale customers, guiding design, capacity planning, and deployment strategies for critical data center projects.

You will collaborate with Account Management, Operations, Capacity Planning, and Engineering to translate complex technical requirements into scalable, business-relevant solutions and support multi-region opportunities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 5+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or data center roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, IT, or related field.
• Experience supporting hyperscale customers, cloud providers, or large data centers.
• Deep knowledge of data center architecture, power/cooling, resiliency, and capacity planning.
• Strong communication with customers, executives, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical SME for xScale hyperscale opportunities.
• Lead technical discovery, design, and deployment planning with customers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations for solutions.
• Conduct customer-facing data center tours and executive briefings.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business value and roadmaps.
