Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Lead Sales Engineer for its xScale hyperscale group in New York to act as the primary technical advisor for cloud, AI, and digital infrastructure customers. You will design, validate, and lead deployments, translating complex data center concepts into business value and coordinating multi-region opportunities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Data Center Infrastructure, Cloud Infrastructure, Hyperscale Infrastructure, or Mission-Critical Facilities environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting hyperscale customers and large-scale data center deployments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for xScale and hyperscale customer opportunities.
• Lead technical qualification and design support for dedicated hyperscale facilities and large power footprints.
• Develop customer-specific infrastructure solutions aligned to long-term growth plans.
• Lead technical engagements from qualification through deployment planning and expansion strategy.
• Conduct customer-facing data center tours and infrastructure briefings.
