Job summary

The Foth Companies are seeking a Lead Hydrogeologist to lead hydrogeological projects, mentor staff, and advance regional groundwater understanding. You will collaborate with project managers on cost estimates, approaches, and data interpretation, while guiding complex multi-disciplinary work from field programs to numerical modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hydrogeological experience, with at least 5 years in the field.
• Experience coordinating field characterization programs, aquifer testing, profiling, groundwater modeling, and numerical analysis.
• Proven ability to lead complex multi-disciplinary projects including budgets, schedules, and regulatory commitments.
• Experience integrating hydrogeology work with feasibility and alternatives analyses.
• Experience providing expert witness testimony at environmental hearings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of hydrogeological aspects of projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to estimate costs and advise on technical approaches.
• Develop approaches for regional hydrologic characterization in unconsolidated deposits and fractured rock.
• Provide project and technical leadership, managing portions of budget, scope, and schedule.
• Develop and implement numerical analyses of groundwater and surface water for permitting and remediation.
• Teach and mentor other team members, serving as a hydrogeology resource.
