Job summary

Worley is seeking a Principal Hydroelectric Pumped Storage Engineer to lead modernization and reliability improvements for hydroelectric plants. You will apply deep experience with relay-to-DCS upgrades, turbine-generator controls, and IEEE 1010/1249 standards.

This role focuses on engineering expertise, project leadership, FAT/SAT participation, and coordinating with Operations to ensure safe, efficient unit operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in power generation, hydroelectric facilities, and industrial control systems.
• Experience migrating relay-based controls to modern DCS solutions (Emerson Ovation).

Responsibilities

• Analyze plant operating issues and develop corrective actions.
• Lead modernization projects replacing legacy relay-based systems with DCS.
• Develop control narratives and sequence-of-operation documentation for digital control implementations.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and operational readiness reviews.
