Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Hydro Controls Engineer to join our client's team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an engineering professional with deep knowledge of the hydro industry who is looking to make a critical contribution within the renewable energy space.

This position is based in Cranberry Township or Blue Bell, PA, and you will join the Hydro Controls Engineering group, which provides fully engineered control system solutions for hydropower plants, primarily in North America. The group focuses on the replacement of existing governor control systems and related equipment, handling all project management, engineering design, system integration, testing, and commissioning.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in controls and automation.
• Experience with the design and commissioning of turbine governor systems.
• Experience with the programming/configuration of PLC and HMI systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider) and/or DCS, with Ovation preferred.
• Ability to analyze engineering designs or logic or digital circuitry, motor controls, instrumentation.
• Experience with pumped storage controls is a plus.
• Up to 20% travel to customers' locations.
