Job summary

Charlotte Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent to lead field teams on near-term projects in the Charlotte/Raleigh area. The role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and hands-on coordination of HVAC installation, commissioning, and startup activities.

You will oversee foremen and subcontractors, review drawings and budgets, and drive on-time completion with quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time on-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising commercial or multi-family HVAC construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, equipment installation, controls, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and mechanical plans.
• Working knowledge of local mechanical codes, energy codes, and applicable building regulations.
• Experience coordinating equipment startup, testing, balancing, and commissioning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise HVAC foremen, field personnel, and subcontractors.
• Plan and coordinate HVAC installation activities from start to finish.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets; adjust resources to maintain schedules.
• Enforce safety requirements and quality standards on all job sites.
• Manage project profitability, labor productivity, and procurement coordination.
