Job summary

Charlotte Mechanical is seeking an HVAC Superintendent to lead HVAC construction projects in the Raleigh, NC region. This role requires strong leadership, field experience, and a focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will oversee foremen, coordinate trades, review drawings and budgets, and ensure commissioning and startup activities are completed to spec. This is a full-time on-site role with a growing, quality-driven contractor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising commercial or multi-family HVAC construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, equipment installation, controls.
• Proven leadership experience managing field crews and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and mechanical plans.
• Working knowledge of local mechanical codes, energy codes, and applicable building regulations.
• Experience coordinating equipment startup, testing, balancing, and commissioning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise HVAC foremen, field personnel, and subcontractors.
• Plan and coordinate HVAC installation activities from start to finish.
• Review drawings, specs, schedules, and budgets; coordinate resources.
• Monitor progress and maintain project schedules; resolve conflicts.
• Ensure inspections, testing, balancing, and commissioning meet specs and codes.
