Job summary

CM McNamara LLC is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Service Technician to oversee residential and light commercial service work. This role leads and supports a team of technicians, troubleshooting complex HVAC issues and guiding junior staff to uphold high service standards and excellent customer care.

The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise and a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure efficient, quality repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience as an HVAC service technician in a leadership role.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair residential AC and heating systems.
• Experience with residential condensers, air handlers, furnaces, boilers and mini-splits.
• Perform routine maintenance of split systems.
• RTU, light commercial and refrigeration experience a plus.
• Familiarity with electrical systems related to system repairs.
• Ability to assist install teams as needed.
• Great customer service skills required.
• Must work independently and as part of a team.

Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Service Technician with a strong background in residential and light commercial HVAC service. This position will be responsible for performing HVAC service and repairs while also leading and supporting a team of service technicians.

The ideal candidate is a strong hands‑on technician and leader who can troubleshoot complex HVAC issues, provide technical guidance, mentor technicians, maintain high-quality service standards, and ensure excellent customer service.

Requirements
