Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Service Estimating Team Lead in the Upper Midwest region to guide a group of estimators, work with Account Managers and Building Owners, and deliver accurate cost estimates for HVAC service projects.

You will lead hands-on estimating, develop scopes, perform take-offs, and manage vendor quotes. You’ll also supervise the team, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement in bidding processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/associate degree in engineering or related field; 3–5 years of related experience.
• HVAC construction knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience running projects on time and on budget.
• Ability to work overtime/weekends and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct estimating and quoting execution for HVAC service projects.
• Review designs and develop detailed scopes, proposals, and system sketches.
• Lead pre-bid reviews with managers and leadership to set pricing strategy.
• Directly supervise and coach estimating team.
• Ensure quality and consistency in workflows and bid processes.
