Job summary
Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, to lead installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems. You will supervise preventive maintenance, refrigerant handling, and field teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
The team ensures safety and environmental compliance while supporting business priorities. This role involves hands-on training, documentation, and on-call rotations to meet service needs.
Qualifications
- 3 years HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience.
- Type I/II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
- 1 year plumbing/electrical or 2 years Walmart store experience.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record.
Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems.
- Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs.
- Manage refrigerant handling per OSHA/EPA codes.
- Coordinate and mentor field teams with hands-on training.
- Maintain work orders, maintenance logs, and expense reports.
- Support on-call rotations for urgent service needs.
- Manage parts inventory and vendor relationships.
