Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a field supervisor to oversee HVAC duct installation projects, working under the Superintendent to drive projects to completion on site in Raleigh, NC. You will manage field activities, lead a crew, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role requires 1+ year of duct/install experience, OSHA 30, and strong blueprint reading, with responsibilities spanning planning, material management, and coordination with general contractors and project managers.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in HVAC duct installation and sheet metal work.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Ability to plan material orders 5+ days in advance.
• Experience leading a crew of up to five personnel.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Superintendent to see projects through to completion while independently managing day-to-day field activities.
• Install sheet metal ductwork and assist with general work activities to complete project tasks.
• Assemble material to complete the final product and assist with complex layout activities.
• Install ductwork for preconstruction projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to determine the sequence and methods of assembling and installing sheet metal products.
• Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts.
• Store and maintain sheet metal products as required by quality manual.
• Plan the installation sequence to avoid obstructions and inspect the jobsite to ensure structural integrity.
• Perform duct testing and standard QC of duct installation.
• Lead and be responsible for a crew of up to five; ensure crew safety and meet all safety requirements set forth by the Company and General Contractor.
• Stay five days ahead of work activities with material and consumable orders.
• Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Managers so materials can be ordered in a timely manner.
• Maintain direct communication with General Contractors, inspectors, and clients.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and components (Exhaust, Supply, Return, Outside Air).
• Extensive knowledge of duct sizing calculations.
• Able to field fabricate standard offsets and duct layouts; able to communicate with the Fabrication Shop on what needs to be fabricated with little or no direction.
• Operate most aerial work platforms and mobile site equipment.
• Hold weekly safety toolbox talks with crew.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including PPE and OSHA guidelines.
