Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled HVAC duct installer to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain duct systems, supports, and related equipment.

The role requires reading blueprints, fabricating duct components, and coordinating with fellow trades to ensure alignment with project plans. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, testing for leaks, and documenting results while adhering to SMACNA standards and OSHA safety guidelines on site.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in HVAC duct installation, preferably in an industrial environment.
• OSHA 10 or 30 safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of different piping systems and materials.

Responsibilities

• Understand ductwork and HVAC systems, materials, and industry standards.
• Layout, assemble, install, and maintain HVAC duct systems, supports, and related equipment.
• Use sheet metal hand and power tools and arial work platforms.
• Assemble sheet metal duct sections per shop drawings.
• Fabricate pipe spools and components using welding and fitting techniques.
• Diagnose and repair faults in duct systems, including leaks or pressure issues.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to plan ductwork layouts meeting design specs and standards.
• Test duct systems for leaks using air pressure tests and document results.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and industry codes (SMACNA).
• Coordinate with welders, plumbers, and electricians on projects.
• Communicate project status and material needs with supervisors and managers.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety regulations and wear PPE per OSHA guidelines.
