Job summary

Hooper is seeking a Design Engineer to lead HVAC design-build efforts on assigned projects in Wisconsin. You will plan, design, and coordinate HVAC systems ensuring cost, quality, equipment utilization, and safety objectives.

You hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, EIT in Wisconsin is preferred, and you have 2–3 years of HVAC design experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit/REVIT MEP. You will lead project teams and contribute to LEED projects and field coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• EIT certificate in Wisconsin preferred.
• 2–3 years of HVAC design experience.
• Experience leading diverse project teams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, NAVIS Works, REVIT, REVIT MEP.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive HVAC systems for design-build projects, adhering to codes and standards.
• Pursue and secure new business opportunities by cultivating client relationships and presenting project plans.
• Attend meetings to coordinate design issues with clients and other disciplines.
• Conduct engineering reviews of shop drawings and manage submittals.
• Oversee drafting work and support project managers on coordination efforts.
• Contribute to updating in-house design standards and participate in LEED projects.
