Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Technician to lead on-site projects, handling hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and commissioning.

You will manage budgets, pursue change orders, ensure safety, and mentor technicians; a technical associate degree and 1–3 years of related experience are preferred. Competitive benefits and salary range are offered.

Qualifications

• Technical associate’s degree required.
• 1-3 years of related field experience in HVAC/Controls or Building Automation Systems with System Design or System Engineering.
• Must have relevant hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
• Must be able to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Strong personal computer skills and knowledge of control theory.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site control projects, plan, execute, and complete assignments with customers.
• Manage project costs, billings, and cash flow; pursue change orders.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure safety and quality.
• Provide coaching and technical assistance to technicians and designers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and Johnson Controls guidelines.
