Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an on-site HVAC Controls Systems Technician to lead installation and commissioning of building automation projects.

You will design, program, install, and test control systems, coordinate with customers, and manage project issues from kickoff to closeout. Requirements include a technical associate degree, 1–3 years in HVAC/control systems, strong communication, and solid PC skills.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to communicate technical material to non-technical audiences.
• Strong PC skills and familiarity with digital controls systems.
• Knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete control systems projects with assigned customers, including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage project financials: costs, billings, collections, and profitability.
• Coordinate with customers during all project phases and pursue change orders.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Provide documentation, coaching, and technical assistance to team members.
