Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Team Leader in Baton Rouge to guide a field team of 3–6 technicians through installation, commissioning, startup, and service activities. You will coordinate with project managers, customers, and subcontractors to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality results.

You will own day-to-day field operations, provide technical coaching, review project requirements, and ensure work aligns with design intent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of HVAC controls/building automation experience.
• Experience leading field activities and coordinating technical work.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a field team of 3–6 technicians in installation, commissioning, startup, testing, and service.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Provide coaching and development support to technicians.
• Ensure work aligns with design intent and safety requirements.
• Prepare commissioning reports and service documentation.
