Job summary

TDIndustries is seeking a Building Technician III in Texas to lead and train other technicians while overseeing HVAC, water systems, and process equipment maintenance. The role involves advanced troubleshooting, safety compliance, and collaboration with engineers to implement process improvements.

Responsibilities include mentoring, responding to work orders, diagnosing system faults, and maintaining documentation. A technical background with HVAC and building systems knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical degree in related field preferred.
• Current universal refrigeration license and/or other trade licenses as required.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Principles of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work.
• Principles of heating, ventilation and cooling systems.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills (oral and written).
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance, repairs, modifications and general facility maintenance tasks in the areas of painting, patching, fixtures, caulking, carpentry, etc.
• Completes major repairs and in-depth planned maintenance in a primary area of facilities operations and maintenance.
• Offers mentorship and training to fellow Building Technicians.
• Responds to Facility Service Work Orders, diagnoses faults in building systems.
• Troubleshoots fire/life/safety, security and other building infrastructures.
• Observes and complies with safety policies and uses PPE.
• Collaborates with technicians to maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
• Completes paperwork and logs readings of equipment and takes corrective actions.
• Uses standard tools and keeps work areas clean.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implements approved changes.
