Job summary

TDIndustries in Houston, TX seeks a senior Building Technician III to lead maintenance on critical building systems, including HVAC, water for injection, and process equipment. You will guide technicians, troubleshoot complex issues, manage inventories, and partner with engineers on process improvements.

Responsibilities include overseeing repairs, ensuring safety policies are followed, and documenting readings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical degree in related field is preferred.
• Current universal refrigeration license and /or other trade licenses as required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Principles of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work.
• Principles of heating, ventilation and cooling systems.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively under stress, and meet short deadlines.
• Demonstrates a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills (oral and written).
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance, repairs, modifications and general facility maintenance tasks in the areas of painting, patching, fixtures, caulking, carpentry, etc.
• Offers mentorship and training to fellow Building Technicians, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Responds to Facility Service Work Orders from building occupants, diagnosing faults in building management/energy systems.
• Troubleshoots fire/life/safety, security and other building infrastructures.
• Observes and complies with all safety policies and uses PPE.
• Collaborates with other technicians to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems, interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Completes all required paperwork timely; logs readings and takes corrective actions before outages occur.
• Keeps tools and work areas clean and organized.
• Works toward team goals and identifies opportunities for process improvements.
