Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas, a world‑class HVAC leader, is seeking a Service Technician IV in Texas. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial/industrial HVAC equipment, lead up to 10 technicians, and ensure contract requirements and customer issues are resolved promptly.

The role involves onsite work in TX with regular travel, safety training, and opportunities to mentor others while supporting sales with surveys and estimates. A valid HVAC certification and EPA credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead up to 10 HVAC Technicians
• Ensure timely and cost-effective start-up of maintenance contracts and installations
• Review contracts/projects and implement corrective actions to align with financial plans
• Negotiate subcontract agreements and serve as primary contact
• Use Service Management System to plan work and ensure contractual commitments
• Provide expert counsel on preventive maintenance and inspections
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime
• Support Sales with job site surveys and estimates reviews
• Contribute to safety training and OSHA compliance
• Provide feedback and participate in performance evaluations
• Keep Daikin Applied product knowledge current and train others
• Regular local travel with some overnight travel
