Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EAC/ABET accredited) or related field with 4 years of system protection experience.
• Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology or related field with 4-year System Protection apprenticeship;
• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of EHV experience as System Protection Technician.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of System Protection Technicians for reliability and safety.
• Promote safety culture; ensure compliance with health, safety, and safe work practices.
• Plan and oversee preventive maintenance for protection and control equipment (relays, SCADA, metering, PLCs).
• Coordinate maintenance, testing, and calibration of protection and control systems.
• Review drawings; update as-built documentation for substation projects.
