Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 2:30p-11:00p & Holiday Rotation
Summary: The Lead Housekeeper plays a key role in supporting the hospital’s mission by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all hospital departments, patient areas, and support spaces. Responsibilities include routine and discharge cleaning, staff coordination, training, quality assurance, and communication with hospital staff, patients, and the public.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. No, experience cannot replace the degree.
Experience: 3-5 years in customer service, floor and carpet care; lead experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate in English, understand medical terminology, follow procedures, cooperate with healthcare team, demonstrate good judgment, and perform manual tasks. Must adhere to I C.A.R.E. standards, perform cleaning tasks, handle equipment and chemicals properly, and assist in emergencies and community disasters.
Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, vision, talking, hearing, and foot use with specified frequencies and weights.
