Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 2:30p-11:00p & Holiday Rotation
The Lead Housekeeper plays a key role in supporting the hospital's mission by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all hospital departments, patient areas, and support spaces. In addition to routine and discharge cleaning, the Lead Housekeeper serves as a team leader, assisting with staff coordination, training, quality assurance, and communication with hospital staff, patients, and the public.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
Experience: 3-5 years in customer service, floor, and carpet care. Previous Lead experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; understand basic medical terminology; follow standard procedures; react appropriately and sensitively to patient needs; cooperate with healthcare team; good judgment; adhere to I C.A.R.E. Standards; manual dexterity; stand for long periods; perform cleaning tasks following department guidelines; use proper chemicals; handle emergency spills; assist in community disaster scenarios.
