Omni Nashville Hotel is seeking a Kitchen Notes Chef to provide technical and administrative support to the Kitchen Notes Chef and ensure efficient operation of kitchen and food production outlets.

The role emphasizes staff training, maintaining cost controls, safety, and culinary excellence, with leadership over line cooks and kitchen staff across multiple stations. A strong culinary background and Serve Safe certification are required.

Qualifications

  • 2 years culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant with at least 1 year supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lead, develop and motivate staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational ability.
  • Creative and up-to-date with new concepts and food trends.
  • Computer literate and detail oriented; able to create and understand financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on training and development for kitchen staff.
  • Ensure cost controls for food and labor within budget.
  • Maintain service standards and budgetary controls across all kitchen outlets.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and safety in all food service areas.
  • Train staff on basic cooking to advanced techniques and culinary knowledge.
