Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with La Colombe d'Or Restaurant and Hotel LLC standards as required by scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including proper uniform.
• Always comply with La Colombe d'Or Restaurant and Hotel, LLC standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Inspect staff's work performance within assigned section daily to ensure standards and productivity levels are met.
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee closing of floors at day end ensuring Room Attendants' carts are clean and restocked with linen only.
• Ensure records of daily assignments are completed and signed off and turned into Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control system.
• Supervise all housekeeping staff and hold them accountable for performance.
• Submit proper documentation regarding poor performance, misconduct, absenteeism, lateness, and attire.
• Handle Lost and Found items according to standards.
• Be familiar with all policies and Rules of La Colombe d'Or Restaurant and Hotel LLC.
• Ensure staff are attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests and colleagues.
• Ensure overall appearance, cleanliness and orderliness of staff.
• Oversee daily assignment of duties for Room Attendants and House Persons.
• Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, stairways and landings.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager daily.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance and follow through to completion.
• Oversee proper training of Room Attendants.
• Motivate, coach and counsel staff as necessary.
• Collect keys and assignments daily at end of shift.
• Attend meetings as required by Management.
• Monitor VIP guests and requests.
