Job summary

Bayshore Club in Coconut Grove, FL is seeking a Lead Host to join a world-class waterfront dining team. The role focuses on greeting guests, managing reservations, seating arrangements, and delivering an exceptional first impression as the front-of-house lead.

Ideal candidates will have hospitality experience, strong communication and phone etiquette, the ability to manage large parties with OpenTable, and the stamina to stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in hospitality.
• Positive attitude and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills and phone etiquette.
• Flexibility with alternating shifts.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• OpenTable Experience Required.
• Must have strong OpenTable background - full availability.
• Hostess experience with large restaurants (300 seats or more) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant.
• Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table.
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area.
• Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have.
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for wait staff.
• Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties.
