Job summary

Delano Miami Beach is seeking a host supervisor to lead the front-of-house team, ensuring flawless seating, reservations, and guest flow in a busy upscale environment.

You will coordinate with restaurant management and kitchen staff, train and coach teammates, and uphold the brand hospitality standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a proactive communicator and a passion for service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or upscale food & beverage environment.
• Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations, including guest seating management and customer service best practices.
• Experience managing guest flow, waitlists, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure seamless service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the host team to ensure outstanding guest service and smooth seating operations during all shifts.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow to optimize seating efficiency and minimize wait times.
• Maintain the highest levels of guest service, ensuring consistency with the restaurant's brand and hospitality standards.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and performance management of team.
• Ensure accurate completion of daily reports and seating logs.
• Monitor guest feedback related to seating and front-of-house experiences and share with leaders.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and restaurant policies and procedures.
• Foster a positive team environment, guiding hosts to work effectively together and support each other.
• Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
• We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
• We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to, on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
