Beverly Hills Rehabilitation Centre in Santa Monica, CA, seeks an experienced cook to operate the kitchen when the Dietary Supervisor is away. You will ensure meals are prepared to menus, follow portion controls, and maintain sanitary conditions in a long-term care environment.

You must have at least a high school diploma, one year of hospital/long-term care cooking experience, and be able to read procedures and recipes. ServSafe certification is required, with safety and teamwork emphasized.

Qualificações

• At least one year as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Prepare tasteful meals and large quantities according to menus.
• Follow portion guides and prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures and assist with serving meals.
• Supervise dietary staff when needed and participate in training.
• Report resident care concerns to the Administrator/Director of Nurses.
