Job summary

ICF International seeks a Lead Energy Advisor/Auditor (Field-Based) to oversee residential energy assessments across Southern Maryland, including White Plains, Hughesville, Prince Frederick, and Leonardtown. This role blends field leadership with remote work to drive home energy improvements and customer satisfaction.

You will manage auditing staff, coordinate with subcontractors, conduct blower door tests and energy modeling, educate homeowners on incentives, and contribute to program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years related professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to install energy-saving devices with training.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift materials up to 30 pounds and perform field tasks.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening and motor vehicle record review.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage field auditing staff to maximize scheduling, workload, and program performance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development of Energy Advisors and field staff.
• Monitor field operations, staffing levels, scheduling, and productivity to ensure goals are met.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, installation contractors, and internal teams for a seamless customer experience.
• Manage inventory of direct install measures and field equipment.
• Oversee audit, HVAC service, and project invoicing activities.
• Maintain and enhance program data collection tools, reporting processes, and field technologies.
• Provide regular updates to utility clients regarding field activities and performance.
• Educate homeowners on energy efficiency opportunities, incentives, and resources.
• Promote participation in retrofit projects and energy-saving improvements.
• Address customer concerns and escalations related to scheduling and program participation.
• Monitor program budgets and suggest operational adjustments.
