Job summary

UI Health's Routine Histology Supervisor leads histology teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting of surgical, autopsy and cytology tests. You will supervise staff, coordinate workflow, and maintain QA/QC programs in a high-complexity on-site laboratory in Chicago.

The role requires solid clinical pathology experience, histology techniques, equipment maintenance, and compliance with CAP/CLIA standards. Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, and tuition waivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or closely related field required.
• Experience in clinical pathology with histology preferred.
• Knowledge of QA/QC and regulatory requirements (CAP/CLIA).

Responsibilities

• Plan and adjust workload for accuracy and timely reporting.
• Develop and review technical procedures and training.
• Coordinate QA/QC and proficiency testing.
