Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Mossville, IL, seeks an experienced HIL/SIL Test Engineer to develop and maintain software test automation in Python, coordinating with offshore teams in India and supporting V&V activities.

You will read hardware schematics, define test boundaries, mentor junior engineers, and drive test priorities across onsite and offshore teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in HIL/SIL testing, embedded systems, or software verification.
• Strong experience developing test scripts and automation using Python.
• Hands-on experience with Opal-RT and dSPACE for HIL testing.
• Strong knowledge of CAN, J1939, and other communication/data-link protocols.
• Understanding of software Verification & Validation (V&V) methodologies.
• Experience with functional, performance, regression, boundary, positive, and negative testing.
• Ability to analyze and interpret system/software requirements.
• Ability to read hardware schematics and identify I/O and communication connections.
• Experience in off-highway/heavy machinery, automotive, industrial controls, or similar embedded-control industries.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
