42dot is seeking a Senior / Staff Test Automation Engineer in Sunnyvale, California. The ideal candidate will design and develop automated test frameworks for automotive ECUs. Responsibilities include building HIL test setups and executing multi-environment test suites.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields and have 5+ (Senior) or 8+ (Staff) years of experience in high-integrity embedded systems test automation. Expertise in Python and Bash is essential, along with experience in Docker and automotive protocols.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation for high-integrity embedded systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and Bash scripting, alongside a practical reading knowledge of C.
• Direct experience architecting or heavily extending modern pythonic test frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for embedded automotive systems.
• Configure and build custom physical HIL test benches from the ground up.
• Analyze and interpret technical specifications to author comprehensive automated test suites.
