Job summary
LND Technical Services LLC is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead design of medium-high voltage substations across the U.S. You will own layouts, equipment selections, and technical execution for complex power projects.
The role requires a PE license and 7–10+ years of utility substation experience, with strong QA/QC and client coordination capabilities. Travel and project leadership are core aspects of this position.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BSEE is required.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
- 7–10+ years of dedicated utility substation design experience.
- Strong knowledge of HV substation components and systems.
- Proficiency with design tools and coding standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and engineering of medium-high voltage substation layouts and related drawings.
- Serve as primary reviewer for QA/QC checks on engineering packages and specs.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, and client standards."
- Perform critical engineering calculations and review results for accuracy.
- Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and client/teams interfaces.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers in technical skills and best practices.
