Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Shop Mechanic to work at various locations across the region, with potential state-to-state travel based on customer needs. Compensation ranges from $29.00 to $35.00 per hour.

The role involves hands-on maintenance of equipment from cranes to chain saws, with emphasis on safety and reliability. Qualified candidates will have 1–5 years of experience, a CDL or ability to obtain one, their own tools, and the ability to use diagnostics and inventory/work-order systems.

Qualifications

• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Requires 1-5 years of experience.
• Must have or able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Must have own general tools.
• Must be able to learn or perform work in Hydraulics, Diesel/gas engine – automatic, Chassis and suspension, Welding/metal fabrication, Small tool repair.
• Must know or be able to learn how to use a computer for Diagnostics, Equipment Inventory management, Work Orders.
• Certifications of Experiences in ASE, Ford or international certifications, Altec/Telelect, Hydraulic maintenance, Utility or construction jobs are a plus.
• Able to work for extended periods throughout various locations, when required.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work over-time when requested.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of equipment in cities and states within region.
• Knowledge of the mechanics of equipment ranging from cranes to chainsaws.
• Work safely while performing repairs or maintenance in a garage and in the field in various weather conditions.
• Troubleshooting in various localities regarding equipment repair, maintenance and deployment.
• Frequently work around energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect lives.
• Maintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
