Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance scheduling, overseeing parts procurement, and maintaining the CMMS while driving uptime and asset longevity in a dynamic recycling operation.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in heavy diesel-powered mobile equipment maintenance.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in scrap metal recycling, waste management, or mining preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, powertrains, welding/fabrication, and electrical diagnostics.
• Must be physically fit to work outside in varied weather conditions and pass a drug screen and background check.
• Vocational/Technical degree in Diesel Technology or Mechanical Systems is highly desired; equivalent field experience accepted.

• Lead diagnostics, repair, service, and maintenance for heavy diesel equipment and fleet.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance; schedule, budget, and downtime minimization.
• Establish and operate a CMMS for work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance history.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental practices compliant with OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards.
• Supervise a team of heavy equipment mechanics; coach and develop staff.
• Procure spare parts and manage local vendor contracts; optimize inventory levels.
• Monitor and control the department maintenance budget to maximize asset lifecycles.
