Job summary

SA Recycling in Phenix City, AL is seeking a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance for our heavy diesel mobile fleet. You will manage a team of mechanics, drive uptime, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy equipment maintenance with at least 2 years in supervision, and a Vocational/Technical degree in Diesel Technology or Mechanical Systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy diesel-powered mobile equipment and truck maintenance
• 2+ years in supervisory or management capacity
• Experience in scrap metal recycling, waste management, or mining preferred
• Vocational/Technical degree in Diesel Technology or Mechanical Systems highly desired

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance strategy, scheduling, and execution for heavy fleet.
• Oversee diagnostics and overhauls of electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems.
• Maintain CMMS to track work orders and inventory.
• Ensure OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance and promote safe shop practices.
• Manage budget and procurement of parts; supervise mechanics.
