Job summary

Janicki Industries is seeking a Heavy Equipment Engineer to lead design, development, and improvement of large-scale machinery. You will own projects from concept through fabrication and commissioning, collaborating with manufacturing, operations, and customers.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical/structural engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with strong CAD skills (NX/CATIA) and knowledge of safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or structural engineering or related field.
• 10+ years designing and engineering heavy equipment or large-scale systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals, statics, dynamics, and strength of materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of heavy equipment from concept to production-ready drawings.
• Specify and size hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and structural components.
• Perform load calculations, stress analysis, and structural evaluations for safety and reliability.
• Coordinate with fabrication and machining teams to resolve build issues and improve manufacturability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
