Job summary

Janicki Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to own electrical design, power distribution, and control systems for multi-million-dollar custom machines on our Automation team in Sedro Woolley, Washington.

This hands-on role involves designing panels, integrating hardware and software, leading projects from concept to FAT, and mentoring junior engineers while delivering high-quality, on-time solutions for aerospace programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
5+ years in automation, robotics, or custom machine design.
Proficiency with ePlan P8 or similar electrical CAD tools.
Experience designing multi-axis servo and motion control systems.
Leadership on capital equipment projects in the $5M-$10M range.
Experience with energy chains and large moving structures.
Strong cross-discipline communication in ME/EE/SW environments.
US Citizenship or Legal Permanent Residency per ITAR/EAR.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement automation improvements in assembly, machining, and inspection.
Plan projects including schedules and budgets; manage scope and risk.
Ensure compliance with quality requirements for projects.
Lead electrical design of control panels (UL508A) and power systems.
Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and docs using ePlan.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams.
Support FAT, installation, and commissioning phases.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
