Job summary

Hill Transportation Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Bowling Green maintenance shop.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on keeping trucks and trailers safe, reliable, and on the road by guiding a team and prioritizing repairs. You will schedule preventive maintenance, monitor workmanship, and coordinate with drivers, operations, vendors, and outside facilities while upholding DOT/FMCSA and company standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance experience preferred.
• Supervisory or lead technician experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel trucks, trailers, brakes, electrical, and fleet maintenance.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA maintenance requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and oversee maintenance technicians.
• Schedule and prioritize preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and breakdowns.
• Monitor repairs to ensure quality work and minimize equipment downtime.
• Coordinate with drivers, operations, vendors, and outside repair facilities.
• Ensure DOT/FMCSA and company maintenance standards are followed.
• Monitor recurring equipment issues and help prevent repeat failures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and a clean, safe, organized shop.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing technicians.
