Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in outpatient settings. You will evaluate patients, design splints, fabricate orthoses, and coordinate with hand surgeons and therapists to support recovery and return to work.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, a DPT or DOT preferred, and at least 3 years of upper-extremity rehab experience; a valid state PT or OT license and CHT

Qualifications

• Initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Documentation of delivery of OT services.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
