Job summary

Pilot Company in Denham Springs, LA is hiring for a Guest Services / Cashier position to process merchandise and fuel transactions, lead a shift of 1-2 cashiers, and ensure accurate end-of-shift reporting.

You will follow local guidelines for restricted items, maintain a clean work area, promote products, deliver quality service, resolve guest issues, manage breaks, and assist with travel center duties. Pay starts at $11.95–$16.95 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash transactions and POS systems.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced guest-focused environment.
• Ability to lead small shift teams and coordinate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures.
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco).
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products.
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest.
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management.
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift.
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
