Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manager for GSE & Tooling in the Greater Seattle area to lead a team of mechanical design engineers shaping tooling and ground support equipment for aerospace programs. You will guide manufacturing, testing, and delivery of hardware, while providing technical direction and people leadership to meet safety and quality standards.

Expected to mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, set priorities, and coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical, structural, aerospace, electrical, manufacturing, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years in design/integration of mechanical systems, electrical systems, control systems, and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and mentor a high-performing team of mechanical design engineers; support their development.
• Prepare and deliver performance reviews; communicate tooling priorities and obstacles to stakeholders.
• Drive project execution, develop plans, manage risks, and track status; resolve blockers.
