Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services is seeking a Lead GSE Technician to oversee maintenance, repair, and servicing of ground support equipment at our DC area airport operations. The role includes advanced diagnostics, mentoring technicians, and coordinating daily work with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will train staff, manage parts inventory, and collaborate across departments to minimize downtime and maximize equipment readiness for airport operations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of proven GSE maintenance/repair experience with a leadership role.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge.
• Valid state driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to train and mentor staff in equipment maintenance.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Proficient English communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the GSE maintenance team.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians.
• Ensure maintenance and repairs meet safety standards.
• Plan and schedule routine maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnose complex malfunctions and oversee troubleshooting.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching.
• Maintain inventory and records of maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with other departments for equipment needs.
