Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Lead Professional Electrical Engineer with an emphasis on Grid Modernization for our Boise, ID office. Other locations include Denver, CO and Redmond, WA.

The role centers on distribution grid modernization, leading studies, and coordinating with clients and vendors to improve reliability and efficiency. You will guide technical solutions like FLISR, Volt-Var optimization, ADMS, and DER integrations, while mentoring teams and presenting actionable insights to clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience as an electrical engineer on large capital projects.
• Ability to lead across teams, communicate clearly, and present recommendations.
• Must pass client background screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and review of grid modernization solutions for distribution systems.
• Coordinate with utility clients, internal teams and vendors to deliver practical recommendations.
• Build project execution frameworks to improve quality and scalability.
• Mentor project teams and support employee growth and client satisfaction.
• Develop technical insights through visualization and reporting for client decision-making.
• Track schedules and budgets and contribute to business development opportunities.
