WSP is seeking a Mid-Level Grid Modernization Engineer for our Boise, ID office, with locations in Denver, CO; Kansas City, MO; or Redmond, WA also considered. You will impact Distribution Advanced Studies and help shape modern grid strategies for clients worldwide.

The role involves leading modernization programs, collaborating across teams, presenting findings, and supporting proposals. Some travel is expected; a strong English communicator with a technical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of post-education experience as an electrical engineer on large capital projects.
• Strong English communication, able to present information and lead meetings.

Responsibilities

• Modernize distribution systems including FLISR, Volt-Var, CVR, and DER solutions.
• Interact with a wide range of stakeholders to gather information.
• Lead engineering tasks on complex projects with strategic impact.
• Prepare data visualizations, reports, and calculations for presentations.
• Track project schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate across disciplines on proposals and business development.
• Participate in industry groups and conferences.
• Travel may be required.
• Support other disciplines such as Protection, Planning, and SCADA.
