Job summary

JLL is seeking a Project Manager for Sustainable Buildings in Raleigh to lead transformative sustainability initiatives for global clients. You will drive green certifications, oversee construction sustainability efforts, and deliver strategic environmental solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes client relations, project management expertise, and in-depth knowledge of green building standards to improve environmental performance in commercial real estate.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in real estate sustainability, corporate environmental management, or energy efficiency.
• Demonstrated proficiency with project management technology tools and ability to adopt new technologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to develop technical presentations.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings, design charrettes, and presentations to communicate sustainability strategies and project progress.
• Develop and complete documentation, plans, and calculations to achieve green building certifications (LEED, WELL, Zero Carbon, Fitwel).
• Track sustainability metrics and goals, providing written and oral reports to design teams, owners, and contractors.
• Manage project financials including setup, invoicing, and accounts receivable to ensure cost-effective delivery.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and technical documentation while proactively addressing project-related issues.
• Conduct job site visits during construction to monitor progress and verify conformance to sustainable design specifications.
• Support project executives on large, complex assignments requiring advanced sustainability knowledge.
