Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Technician in Round Lake, IL to drive floor operations, ensure aseptic practices, and maintain strict cGMP compliance. You will lead scheduling, material management, and cross-functional collaboration to implement process changes and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation integrity, and staff development while supporting tech transfer and GMP-driven investigations.

Qualifications

6+ years of related industry experience or an associate degree with 5+ years GMP manufacturing experience.
Experience in manufacturing lead, team support, or coordination roles preferred.
Proficiency with aseptic techniques and cleanroom manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary contact for troubleshooting and escalation.
Coordinate daily scheduling, staffing, and real-time staff assignments.
Oversee routine and critical manufacturing operations, including commissioning and changeover/validation.
Ensure documentation complies with cGMP and good documentation practices.
Manage floor inventory and material deliveries.
Promote safe and compliant operations and raise safety concerns as needed.
Support continuous improvement with visual management and ergonomic enhancements.
Provide team leadership through training, coaching, and performance feedback.
Support quality systems with deviations, investigations, and CAPAs.
Collaborate with QA, engineering, facilities, and operations to resolve issues and support tech transfer.
