Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) Lead Electrical Engineer to guide high- complexity GIS projects and mentor design teams. You will develop technical specifications, GA drawings, grounding and conduit plans, and oversee the full life cycle of gas insulated substation engineering.

A hybrid schedule applies, with relocation assistance available. The role requires a ABET-accredited BSEE and 10+ years in GIS/AIS substation design, plus proficiency with standard design tools

Qualifications

ABET-accredited BSEE degree is required.
Ten or more years in physical layout and design of GIS and AIS substations.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and 3D models.
Ability to relate equipment to technical designs and manage multiple projects within budget/timeline.

Responsibilities

Lead GIS engineering design efforts for gas insulated substations and select AIS projects.
Prepare specifications, reports, and drawings (GA, equipment plans, grounding/conduit plans, control panel layouts).
Mentor junior and senior engineers and coordinate detailed design phases.
