Hitachi Energy in Mount Pleasant, PA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead GIS substation projects from concept through installation. You will translate customer needs into practical engineering solutions and develop layouts, drawings, and technical documentation.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, 3+ years in substation or power systems, proficiency with 2D/3D CAD (Creo/AutoCAD), strong PM and communication skills, and willingness to travel occasionally.

3+ years in substation engineering, power systems, or related fields.
Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD; Creo and AutoCAD preferred.
Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings and site support.

Responsibilities

Lead GIS substation projects from concept through installation.
Translate customer requirements into practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
Develop substation layouts, drawings, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards and safety regulations.
